THE CENTER OF THE MIDDLE AREA OF POTISJE

      The municipality of Becej is situated in the outermost part of the eastern Backa, where it joins the rover Tisa. Precisely, it lies slightly more to the north of the very center of the Vojvodina plain. The Municipality of Becej includes the town of Becej and the places called Backo Gradiste, Backo Petrovo Selo, Milesevo (Drljan), Poljanice and Radicevic.

      The Municipality of Becej is connected with the whole country by railway, road and river traffic.

         The most important for its economy is the road traffic, which with its economy is the road traffic, which with asphalt roads connects together the whole region of Potisje. The water gate erected on the river Tisa near Becej connects it with Banat region and, the asphalt road with the towns of Srbobran, Vrbas, Kula and Sombor in the west.
